Austin H. Bonnett

Mr. Bonnett was nominated for the Exceptional Achievement Service Award by no less than three past Chairmen and two highly-respected, long-serving technical committee members of our Association.
As resident Design Engineer at U.S. Electric Motors, he served the industry for many years, including consulting for EASA and assisting members to overcome technical problems and to protect their position in adversity.
Mr. Bonnett has represented EASA at the highest level on the representative bodies of the industry and in government, and has developed world-class seminars and procedures for EASA.
He has received no less than six prestigious awards including IEEE's Nikola Tesla Award for leadership in the development and application of design standards, maintenance technology and operating practices to optimize induction motor performance.
He has produced papers on Root Cause Failure Analysis and presented them at EASA Conventions. These papers form the basis of one of EASA's most valuable products — the Root Cause Failure Analysis manual and the seminars that go with it.
He acted as joint chair with Professor David Walters on the EASA/AEMT Rewind Study which helped produce the Good Practice Guide to Maintain Motor Efficiency. He was key to its satisfactory conclusion and production.He brings immense technical knowledge and experience to our Industry and to our Association.
